After the Main Stage Fire, Will Continue
Even though its iconic main stage was destroyed by fire a few days before it was scheduled to debut, the renowned EDM event Tomorrowland is proceeding according to schedule.
“We’re focused on finding solutions and ensuring the festival weekend continues as planned,” organizers informed fans in an Instagram post.
“According to an official update on the Tomorrowland website, DreamVille—the festival’s dedicated camping area—welcomed guests starting at 10 AM local time on Thursday, July 17.”Every Global Journey travel package to Antwerp and Brussels is still operating according to plan.
The organizers acknowledged that they spent the entire night brainstorming potential fixes for the main stage area. The main stage sustained major damage from the fire, but the other festival sites remained unaffected.
“Only two days ahead of its planned kickoff on Friday, July 18, a fire erupted at the Orbis Mainstage in Boom, Belgium, during the evening of Wednesday, July 16.”. In order to control the fire and stop it from spreading, local police and firefighters arrived on the site shortly before 7:30 PM. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

A focal point of the event was the festival’s ornate main stage, which was meticulously and imaginatively created over many years.
